True Percula clownfish are semi-aggressive, typical of clowns. They readily lay eggs in well maintained aquariums, and provide a lot of enjoyment with their egg-caring behavior. In order to protect their territory, they’ll lunge and nip at the intruders… watch out, that intruder might be you, the aquarist!

How to tell the difference between True Percula and Ocellaris Clownfish? True Perculas have lighter orange eyes, one less dorsal spine (10 instead of 11) and their black stripes are thicker than Ocellaris clownfish.
